Our Palo Alto office is currently seeking a Hospitality/Office Services Assistant. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, arranging/moving furniture in conference rooms and offices as directed, and assisting with maintaining supply inventory. We have an excellent opportunity available in our Real Estate Practice Group. The candidate selected will provide assistance to attorneys and clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions and finance transactions. Primary responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, coordinating and preparing title and survey matters, real estate documents and instruments to acquisitions and dispositions, including Purchase Agreements, banking and loans, foreclosures and work-outs; preparing and analyzing UCC, bankruptcy, litigation and lien searches; e-filing and electronically recording documents with Simplifile; producing title commitments, policies, endorsements and calculation, collecting and remitting agent and underwriter premiums; filing and maintaining corporate documentation with Florida Department of State; coordinating document execution; coordinating and attending real estate closings; maintaining electronic client files; and managing all real estate post-closing documentation. Candidates with a bachelorís degree or paralegal designation preferred. A minimum of three (3) yearsí work experience as a Florida paralegal is required. Washington, DC - IP Paralegal (U.S. and International)

The IP Patent Paralegal will be responsible for the creation, revision, and filing of prosecution documents. This position will support various intellectual property attorneys to provide excellent service to our clients. The IP Patent Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining a docket, for timely reporting of communications to the client and foreign associates, and for timely handling of various prosecution formalities. This is a position with an annual 1500 billable hour requirement. Candidate must have at least two (2) yearsí experience in international and/or US prosecution and a high school diploma, although a Bachelorís Degree and/or a paralegal certificate is preferred. Thorough knowledge of patent procedural requirements and USPTO practices required. The position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. Washington, DC - IP Project Assistant

The IP Project Assistant will provide support services to the Intellectual Property team attorneys, Paralegal Coordinator and paralegals in the prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents and trademarks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: assist attorneys and paralegals with prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents and trademarks, which includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of routine correspondence to clients and foreign associates; the preparation and filing of legal documents at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; reviewing and ordering documents received from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; providing support to IP team members with special projects and overflow of routine responsibilities; and other projects as may be assigned. Washington, DC - IP Transfer Specialist

The IP File Transfer Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and triaging of incoming IP files, auditing file histories and docketing bibliographic details and accompanying deadline information in Inprotech as well as creating profile details of each new case. The Transfer Specialist will inventory physical files and electronic data into the file transfer database, creating matter titles and bibliographic details for Elite and Legal Key. He/she will prepare and file Assignments, Revocation and Power of Attorney documents and communicate with both clients and Attorneys on formality status. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2-4 years of high-level US and Foreign Patent/Trademark IP experience; proficiency with US and Foreign Patent and Trademark office websites and the ability to research and locate data; advanced Paralegal, Formalities and IP Docket experience and working knowledge of LegalKEY and Elite or other billing and records software. Other requirements include knowledge of IP rules in both US and International Patent and Trademark markets, working knowledge of IP docket systems and docket progressions, ability to evaluate and build IP family relationships and history, ability to audit Patent and Trademark file histories to determine priority dates, a high level attention to detail and deadline orientation, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and proven organization and communication skills. A high school diploma is required, however; a bachelorís degree or technical training beyond high school is preferred. Washington, DC - Office Services Assistant/Housekeeping

We are currently seeking a Hospitality/Office Services Assistant for the Washington, DC office. The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to arranging/moving furniture in conference rooms and offices as directed, performing minor repairs, and assisting with maintaining supply inventory. A prime duty is setting up food, beverages and supplies for the Firmís meetings and events as well as maintaining and stocking the Firmís pantry, break rooms and galleys. In addition, the Hospitality/Office Services Assistant may be assigned to receptionist duties, event set-up and other job related assignments on an as needed basis. Minimum of two years previous work experience in an office or customer service setting is required. Qualified applicants must have exceptional customer service and follow-up skills, the ability to work within a team, and must effectively communicate with all levels of personnel. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, stretch, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
