The Boston office is seeking an IP Paralegal. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in all phases of international and US patent prosecution. Responsibilities of this position include preparation and filing of US patent applications, Provisionals, Utilities, Continuations, Continuations-in-part, Divisionals, Designs, Plant Patent and US National phase applications; preparation and handling of all related formalities, such as Declarations, Power of Attorneys, Assignments, Formal Drawings, Information Disclosure Statements, Extensions of Time, Preliminary Amendments; Missing Parts/Requirements, as well as client communications; and other duties related to US patent prosecution as required. Applicant must be knowledgeable in processing Notice of Allowance and Issue Fee Communications, verification of Patent Term Adjustment and Letters Patent. Applicant must also have experience with filing via EFS-Web; knowledge of international PCT and National Phase applications; corresponding with foreign associates and other duties related to international patents. This position has a 1500 hour annual billing requirement. The Legal Support Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day and long-term management of legal support staff in support of attorney and paraprofessional workflow; acts as a liaison between Administration, Human Resources, department chair and/or practice group leaders and staff; communicates and enforces policies and procedures; resolves problems which impact productivity; manages workflow; and ensures staff performance meets Firm standards. Chicago - Technology Learning Coach

The Technology Learning Coach will conduct a variety of technology related learning courses for attorneys and staff firm wide using a variety of delivery methods which include coaching, group demonstrations, e-learning, classroom and one-on-one sessions. The RFP & Proposal, Sr is responsible for managing the intake, review, development, submission and follow-up of firm responses to client issued Request for Proposals (RFPs). Acting as project lead, the RFP & Proposal, Sr will partner with other members of the Proposal Team, Marketing Team and attorneys to coordinate and manage RFP projects from clients or prospective clients for new business while adhering to the firmís RFP policies and procedures. Detroit - IP Legal Assistant

An Assistant/Patent Secretary is needed to work in the growing Intellectual Property group in our Detroit, Michigan office. Primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, handling all administrative aspects of US and foreign patent prosecution, managing attorney dockets, and assisting in the preparation of intellectual property forms and documents. Additional responsibilities include document management, time entry, conflict checks, opening new matters, assistance with billing tasks, making travel arrangements, preparing reimbursements, and other routine secretarial tasks. The Conflicts Support Specialist provides support and collaborates with a team of Conflicts Analysts by assisting with processing of new intake requests from submission through client/matter number assignment. The Specialist will perform front end processes of number assignment and creating standard party records. Our Palo Alto office is currently seeking a Hospitality/Office Services Assistant. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, arranging/moving furniture in conference rooms and offices as directed, and assisting with maintaining supply inventory. A prime duty is setting up food, beverages and supplies for the Firm's meetings and events, as well as maintaining and stocking the Firm's kitchens. In addition, the Hospitality/Office Services Assistant may be assigned to Front Desk receptionist duties, event set-up and other job related assignments on an as needed basis. Tampa - Litigation Paralegal

The Litigation Paralegal provides paralegal services to attorneys and acts as a liaison between the attorney and the case files throughout all stages of litigation, pre-trial investigation and preparation; manages own caseload and provides attorneys with all necessary assistance in order to provide economical and efficient services for clients; files documents in both state and federal courts and prepares e-filing when appropriate; acts as a liaison between the trial team and third parties; coordinates trial or hearing logistics; works with litigation support specialists and attorneys on electronic productions; attends and assists at trial as requested; and performs other tasks as assigned. Washington, DC - IP Transfer Specialist

The IP File Transfer Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and triaging of incoming IP files, auditing file histories and docketing bibliographic details and accompanying deadline information in Inprotech as well as creating profile details of each new case. The Transfer Specialist will inventory physical files and electronic data into the file transfer database, creating matter titles and bibliographic details for Elite and Legal Key. He/she will prepare and file Assignments, Revocation and Power of Attorney documents and communicate with both clients and Attorneys on formality status. We are currently seeking an Intellectual Property Docket Specialist for the Washington, DC or Madison, WI office. The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to analyzing incoming correspondence related to the prosecution of intellectual property rights, discerning the pertinent information and entering it into the docketing database. A prime duty is reconciling client, foreign agent and attorney correspondence against docketed due dates in order to rectify the daily docket; and to perform all other job related duties as assigned. The Docket Specialist is responsible for effective communication with attorneys and staff, to include answering docket related questions; timely preparing customized reports; resolving inaccuracies and other associated requests where applicable. A minimum of 5 years previous experience with docketing software programs required. Proficient Intellectual Property Docketing background with both patent and trademark prosecution (domestic and international) knowledge desired. Must have accurate data entry skills, proven organizational abilities, attention to detail; knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs; self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as make practical decisions; ability to problem-solve; and possess proficient oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with attorneys and all levels of staff.
