Bankruptcy Associate – Washington, DC

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an associate with 4 – 9 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience to join the Bankruptcy & Business Reorganization Practice Group in our Washington, DC office. Am-Law Top-100 Law-Firm experience in bankruptcy and restructuring preferred. Law-clerk experience for a bankruptcy judge in a U.S. Bankruptcy Court or other federal-court clerkship is a plus, but not required. In addition to having strong legal-writing, oral-communication, and litigation skills, qualified candidate will have significant experience representing debtors, secured creditors, indenture trustees, creditor committees, trustees, unsecured creditors, bondholder and noteholder groups, liquidation trustees, plan administrators and disbursing agents, bidders and acquirers, and other stakeholders in corporate reorganization matters, corporate trust and inter-creditor issues, and bankruptcy and default matters. The candidate must also have experience (1) drafting avoidance complaints, mediation statements, various motions and pleadings, objections to plans of reorganization, sale motions, and settlement agreements; (2) preparing and filing fee applications, proofs of claim, and legal memoranda; and (3) presenting motions to the bankruptcy court and attending evidentiary hearings. This position will involve working with the entire 50+ member Foley & Lardner Bankruptcy & Business Reorganization Practice Group, with primary focus in the Washington, DC and Virginia markets. We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly-motivated Bankruptcy associate who is an effective communicator and has demonstrated an ability to thrive and prosper in complex environments. Top academic and work experience required. Bio Patent Associate – Silicon Valley

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a patent associate with 2-3 years of law firm patent prosecution experience to join the firm’s pre-eminent, national Intellectual Property Department’s Chemical, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Practice Group in our Silicon Valley office. Qualified candidate must hold a PhD in the biological sciences (i.e. Immunology, Molecular Biology, Virology, or a related field) and have solid patent prosecution experience. FDA Regulatory Associate – Washington, D.C.

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an associate attorney in our Washington, D.C. office to join our premier Government Solutions Practice Group. The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of experience with FDA laws and regimes as well as some knowledge in the areas of health care and digital health regulatory regimes. IP Litigation Associate – Milwaukee, Chicago or Boston

Qualified candidate must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and will possess significant experience through all phases of patent litigation, ideally in matters involving software, medical devices, and/or computer hardware. Excellent academic credentials, research, writing, and communication skills are required. Clerkship experience preferred but not essential. Experience handling either PTAB proceedings or trademark, copyright and advertising cases is a plus. Foley & Lardner is seeking an associate with 4 - 8 years of experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in its Detroit office. Foley’s Transactions Practice Group is integrated nationally and principally handles M&A and securities matters for publicly and privately held middle market/upper middle market companies, private equity funds, family offices and others. As a result, this position will involve working on US and international transactions with Foley lawyers in Detroit, as well as various other Foley offices.
